Chi Hair Straightener?

My hair is a mess. Its very thick, dry, and never EVER stays straight anymore. I have gone threw soo many different straighteners trying to find one that works for my hair. I have heard a lot of good things about the Chi but I figure I would ask on here. If anyone has one can you tell me about it, also, does your hair get pin straight, and last all day, even in humid weather?

I have very curly thin hair and i have a CHI. My hair does go pin straight, but only for about half an hour because my hair is so curly. MY hair does not last straightened with a CHI, and i also use straightening shampoos and conditioners. Also, CHIs are expensive, but the prices vary dependending on the style and colour. I have the most expensive one, and in humid weather it still does not seem to work. Hope this helps.Chi Hair Straightener?
Chi IS amazing. But with your hair, it sounds like ANY straightener would ruin it.





I would suggest getting a deep conditioning treatment (You can find them at your local Sallys NOT hot oil or hot cream) and it would fix up your hair. They range from about 1 to 3 bucks, and help your hair out.





I say wait it out (about a month so your hair can repair itself), and buy a Chi. They really are nice. If you straighten your hair too much, it will start breaking off and might even start falling out.





Of course, there are many other straighteners around, go ask a professional.

I have one and it's brilliant! I do have pretty straight hair to begin with, but it gets really frizzy...not with the Chi though. My younger sister has SUPER DUPER curly hair that is so hard to straighten, she usually just leaves it go curly because it's pretty that way...sometimes she comes over and straightens her hair with the chi...she even did it for her wedding and her hair stayed great the entire time! she was gorgeous! :) Oh, and you don't have to spend $200 on it either...I got mine from Ebay for $80 and it's the same exact thing! The first few times I used the straightener though it had a static electricity affect in my hair...it looked like i stuck my finger in a light socket (my hair was straight though! ha) all you have to do if that happens to you is run a dryer sheet over your hair (sounds weird but works) Good luck with your chi! :)
Where I live you can buy a CHi hair straightener for $50 dollars. And it worked on my hair and it can go through humidity without making the hair curly again. I try the Chi summer 2007 and my cousin did my hair. I was like OMG!!!


It was like my hair was naturally straight. Cause I have frizzy hair and is really hard to make it straght.

mmm i love my chi straightener. My hair is VERYY thick and dry like yours, i had a straigtener that wasen't very good, it kept my hair straight for awhile but then went back frizzy and puffy, the chi is amazing, but it's expensive, if you really want your hair to be straight it's well worth the money.
Chi is an amazing straightner however I have found out that on my hair the paul mitchell works better just because of the temp. gauge. Sometimes your hair does not need 400 degrees of heat it will actually make it frizz later in the day. hope it helps good luck.

But the Chi is very expensive mine was 200 dollars
