I think all hair straightner are all the same.... Unless you have extremely unmanagable hair, that is... if so, you may want to get a better brand, and chi is one of them... good luck!
If it's a real CHI iron, it's the same thing.
Look for a Farouk Systems label on it or the box. There are several other brands that call themselves CHI (I've seen the fakes at Sallys) but they are NOT the same thing.
