What is a good thing to use to wipe off the plates of my CHI? Someone used it and she had gel %26amp; hairspray in her hair and now there is residue on it, I don't want to mess up my plates so what is a good thing to use??

alcohol on a cotton ball. make sure the iron is cool before doing it.Chi- Hair Straightener?
i sometimes use baby wipes to wipe off my chi straightener and i have never had a problem with it. (not super wet baby wipes, but a lightly damp one, of course)
After cooling I wipe the plates off with rubbing alcohol.
