I just purchased one and it only has an on/off device. It gets to about 386 degrees. I'm a little worried that it may be a knock off.Does your Chi hair straightener have a temperature control on it?

No mine doesnt buit i know that a few do. Mine does have an on and off device, the newer ones probably have the temperature control.
mine doesn't.
but i found an even better straightner.. that does have a control and gets hotter, and still protects your hair.. it's ceramic..

There is no temp ';control'; it cuts off auto if it gets too hot much like some of the higher end hair straighteners.
