Reviews for CHI hair straightener anybody?!?

I want to buy the CHI and I think I would buy it at uhmmm...ebay because it is cheapest.But does it really work? And would it work for my THICK,very curly/wavy at the bottom hair?Any comments on this would be a BLESSING. Please give me info on the straightener to! I have thick wavy hair and got soo excited when I heard about the Chi. I rushed out and bought one.....and had to do it every 2 months after that. The Chi is the best flat iron I have ever used, except they break very often. There is a problem with the wiring coming unattached from the base of the iron. Almost everyone I know has had the same problem. They do have a replacement system, but going throught the hassel just wasnt worth it anymore. I would suggest getting a ceramic plated iron with a warranty. You are still going to pay up to $70 but it will last longer. Good Luck!
omg they are the best things in the whole entire world i have extermely thick very curly weighed down hair and u only have to go over each section once and they can be big sections. io have really long hair and it only took up tp 30 minutes to do all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have thick hair, and I use a CHI, and it works GREAT for me. But, since you have thicker and curlier hair, you might want to consider getting a 1 or 2 inch CHI straightner, instead of the typical skinny CHI straightner, otherwise it will take FOREVER to straighten your hair... hope that helps! :]
man i have very curky hair and thick hair. before i couldnt do it with the very thin one on width. i would try the wider one. but now my hair is short and it works good on my hair. i mean it takes a lil longer than usual but its better for your hair you dont damage it as much!

I've used it a few times and its the only straightener that straightens my hair easily. I have two friends with super curly, hard to strighten hair and it works for them.
