LMAO I'm doing the same(saving up) and by research on the net the GHD is better but more expensive. The CHI is a great alternative for it tho...it's cheaper... the CHI can cost any where from $80-$200 and the GHD can cost from $100-$200What are better ghd or chi hair straighteners?

i recently bought a hair straightner, and i saved up all my money to buy one. i went to 4 hairdresses and 3 of them stocked a hair straightner that is exactly the same as a ghd, except its called Diva. It is made by the same manufactores of ghd. the diva goes 10 degrees higher than the ghd, which is a good thing because the higher the heat the less time it takes to straighten and aslo because the more time you go over your hair, the more damage you do. with the diva you only have to go over it once. the reason ghd is so popular is because they have spent a lot of money advertising which is why people thnk its so good. they were good 4 years ago when they came out, but now its overrated because of the ads. the Diva costs $170, whereas the GHD costs $299, if they are a different desighn example: there shiny the prices are higher.
